In this talk, we present the sophisticated calculation of synchrotron emission resulting from DM annihilation in the vicinity of SMBH M87* and within the Galactic halo, which can be strongly constrained by the EHT observations, as well as the rdaio and microwave surveys of the Mike Way.
For EHT image constraints, we develope a comprehensive framework to calculate electron-positron propagation under strong gravity and magnetic fields, based on GRMHD simulations that are best-fit to current intensity and polarimetric observations of the SMBH.
For Mike Way rdaio constraints, we impose constraints for both total intensity and morphology of individual sky maps, by using a state-of-the-art cosmic-ray propagation code, coupled with a best-fit foreground model. This approach substantially refined the existing limits.
Our study shows a possible way for DM detection via the morphological analysis of BH images, as well as radio sky maps of the Milky Way. These results provide immediate relevance and significance, demonstrating the ability of existing EHT and rdaio data sets to contribute to DM studies.
主講人介紹:
丁然,2014年畢業(yè)于南開大學(xué)物理學(xué)院獲博士學(xué)位;2014 年-2019 年于北京大學(xué)高能物理研究中心 任博士后;2019年12月至今任安徽大學(xué)物理與光電工程學(xué)院副教授。長期從事粒子天體物理、宇宙學(xué)和對撞機唯象學(xué)的相關(guān)研究。具體研究內(nèi)容包括:
(1)粒子天體物理:粒子暗物質(zhì)模型及唯象學(xué),輕暗物質(zhì)相關(guān)的直接探測、間接探測和宇宙學(xué)效應(yīng);
(2)中微子物理:中微子質(zhì)量產(chǎn)生和輕子生成機制;
(3)與早期宇宙及新物理相關(guān)的宇宙學(xué)隨機引力波背景。
